Parent Teacher Fellowship
The purpose of Crossroads Christian Academy Parent Teacher Fellowship is to provide a ministry for the constituency of CCA. As a cooperative effort by CCA parents, teachers and staff, the Parent Teacher Fellowship's goal is to create a spirit of unity and thereby exists to:
Provide a support ministry of school families and teachers in order to form trusting and supporting relationships
To be an avenue through which selected social events are accomplished that benefit the school, in whole or part
To develop a ministry that will assist in keeping positive communication lines continually open between the homes and the school, and to acquaint the parents with the philosophy of Christian Education.
Activities and Responsibilities
Student Activities: Assemblies, Grand Day, Ice Cream Social, Family Movie Night, Christmas Shoppe, Skate Night, Room Mom Ministry
Teacher Support: Room Mom Ministry, Teacher Orientation Breakfast & Lunch, Monthly Appreciation Weeks, Parent/Teacher Conference Meals, Teacher Wish Lists
Parent Support/Activities: First Day of School Celebration, Donuts with Dad, Caring & Sharing, Volunteer Appreciation Celebration
Church: SRCC Appreciation Day
Fundraising: Fall Fundraiser
Room Mother Program
Room Mothers are selected volunteer parents who commit to provide an extra measure of care and service for a specific class during the school year. Room Mothers pray regularly for the students, families and teachers in their class and reach out to students and families who need assistance.
Room Mothers act as a liaison between teachers and parents to provide an extra pair of hands when needed, assist in communications and welcoming families.
Room Mothers assist in coordinating activities such as class parties and events, teacher and staff appreciation and other activities sponsored by the Parent Teacher Fellowship.
